As Assistant General, John-Joseph acts as a liason between the Provinces and Custodies of North America, England and Ireland and the General level of the Order. This includes advising the Minister General and participation in General Definitory meetings that deal with issues affecting the entire Order. He also serves as the Director of the International Office of the Conventual Franciscan Conference.
